UK consumers spend big on laptops. Euromonitor valued the market at just under £2bn with almost a third of all purchases (£570mn) happening online or are digitally-influenced. In the UK, online category share has risen from 18% in 2010 to over 30% in 2015 and is projected to top 40% of total sales by 2020. As the online channel continues to drive category growth, brands that strategically focus on optimizing their ecommerce performance will reap the benefits during major online sales events such as Back-to-School and other Mega Shopping Day events.
